【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversfourtypesofhydratedlime.TypesNandSaresuitableforuseinmortar,inscratchandbrowncoatsofcementplaster,forstucco,andforadditiontoportland-cementconcrete.TypesNAandSAareair-entrainedhydratedlimesthataresuitableforuseinanyoftheaboveuseswheretheinherentpropertiesoflimeandair-entrainmentaredesired.Thefourtypesoflimesoldunderthisspecificationshallbedesignatedasfollows:1.1.1TypeN8212;Normalhydratedlimeformasonrypurposes.1.1.2TypeS8212;Specialhydratedlimeformasonrypurposes.1.1.3TypeNA8212;Normalair-entraininghydratedlimeformasonrypurposes.1.1.4TypeSA8212;Specialair-entraininghydratedlimeformasonrypurposes.Note18212;TypeS,specialhydratedlime,andTypeSA,specialair-entraininghydratedlime,aredifferentiatedfromTypeN,normalhydratedlime,andTypeNA,normalair-entraininghydratedlime,principallybytheirabilitytodevelophigh,earlyplasticityandhigherwaterretentivity,andbyalimitationontheirunhydratedoxidecontent.Note28212;Fornormal(TypeN)andspecial(TypeS)finishinghydratedlime,refertoSpecificationC206.Note3Somebuildingcodesprohibittheuseofair-entrainingmaterialsinmortar,becauseoftheaccompanyingreductioninbondandcompressivestrength.Whereincreasedfreeze-thawresistanceisimportant,air-entrainingmaybebeneficial.Air-entraininglimeshouldnotbeusedasafinishinglime.Note48212;Forlimeputty,refertoSpecificationC1489.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
