【摘要】:Fabricsintendedforthisend-useshouldmeetalloftherequirementslistedinTable1.Itshouldberecognizedthatfabricscanbeproducedutilizinganalmostinfinitenumberofcombinationsofconstructionvariables(e.g.,typeoffibers,percentageoffibers,yarntwist,yarnnumber,warpandpickcount,chemicalandmechanicalfinished).Additionally,fashionoraestheticsdictatethattheultimateconsumermayfindacceptablearticlesmadefromfabricsthatdonotconformtoalloftherequirementsinTable1.Hence,nosingleperformancespecificationcanpossiblyapplytoallthevariousfabricsthatcouldbeutilizedforthisend-use.Theusesandsignificanceofparticularpropertiesandtestmethodsarediscussedintheappropriatesectionofthespecifiedtestmethods.1.1Thisperformancespecificationcoverstheperformancerequirementsforplain,tufted,orflockedwovenupholsteryfabricsasusedinthemanufactureofnewindoorfurniture.Theserequirementsapplytoboththewarpandfillingdirectionsforthosefactorswhereeachfabricdirectionispertinent.1.2Thisperformancespecificationisnotapplicabletofabricsusedinporch,deck,orlawnfurniture;norforknittedfabrics,bondedorlaminatedfabrics,orsurface-coatedfabrics(suchasvinylsandurethanes).1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
