【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesan&bitcodederivedfrom,andcompatiblewith,the7-bitcodedcharactersetspecifiedinISO/IEC646.ThecharacteristicsofthiscodearealsoinconformancewiththecodeextensiontechniquesspecifiedinIS02022.ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesan8-bitcodewithanumberofoptions.Italsoprovidesguidanceonhowtoexercisetheoptionstodefinespecificversions.Thiscodeisprimarilyintendedforgeneralinformationinterchangewithinan8-bitenvironmentamongdataprocessingsystemsandassociatedequipment,andwithindatacommunicationsystems.Theneedforgraphiccharactersandcontrolfunctionsindataprocessinghasalsobeentakenintoaccount.Thecodeincludesthe10digitsaswellasthe52smallandcapitallettersofthebasicLatinalphabetandmayincludeaccentedletters,specialLatinlettersand/orthelettersofoneorseveralnon-Latinalphabet(s).
