【摘要】:Themeasurementofcarbondioxideinnaturalgasisimportant,becauseofthegasqualityspecifications,thecorrosivenatureofcarbondioxideonpipelinematerials,andtheaffectsofcarbondioxideonutilizationequipment.Thistestmethodprovidesinexpensivefieldscreeningofcarbondioxide.Thesystemdesignissuchthatitmaybeusedbynontechnicalpersonnelwithaminimumofpropertraining.1.1Thistestmethodcoversarapidandsimplefielddeterminationofcarbondioxideinnaturalgaspipelines.Availabledetectortubesprovideatotalmeasuringrangeof100ppm(partspermillion)upto60%byvolume,althoughthemajorityofapplicationswillbeonthelowerendofthisrange(thatis,under5%).Atleastonemanufacturerprovidesaspecialkitformeasurementsfrom10to100%CO2,butthenormal100-cchandpumpisnotused.SeeNote1.Note18212;High-rangecarbondioxidedetectortubeswillhavemeasuringrangesinpercent(%)CO2,andlow-rangetubeswillbeinpartspermillion(ppm).Toconvertpercenttoppm,multiplyby10000(1%=10000ppm).1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsareregardedasstandard.Theinch-poundunitsinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
